I think it would be neat if you can buy a gift box and when you trade or give someone an item you can put it in the gift box...although I think people would abuse it.
and a big christmas tree in LA is the best idea yet..
but the last two people have a point...it would piss off the athiests or everyone who believes in anything else. I understand that...but whats wrong with a little snow, snowmen, and candy canes?
I know I know I will probably start a fight...things have just gonna crazy with the world...now we have to say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" so no one will have a hissy fit...
I vote for a new years theme then ..safest route

my best guess is that ANet doesn't want to piss off the non-christian fanbase quite yet, so they're saving the decorations for later.
or they haven't finished yet.

So do non-christians really get upset about Christmas? I'm an agnostic myself and I'm not bothered, and I have met quite a few people from other faiths who are still looking forward to Christmas - even if it's just for a few days off work. Certainly none of them seem to be offended by it.
It just seems like the nanny state and wishy-washy liberals telling people of other faiths that they 'should' be offended by Christmas.
Anyways - love and peace to all.

Really?!?....Seems the Rightwingers are the ones all pissy about Christmas. I personally do not care what people believe in....it is all good. You have to believe in something in order to live life to the fullest....

I might actually log on for the first time since they released Sorrows Furnace. I never did anything in that place so maybe it will be fun. If they do something let me know!

As much as i want decorations in LA and to go through the whole waiting for somebody, to get a special item, i don't think that its going to happen.
Sure there are the non-religous people that Anet has to worry about but it's probably going to make some people mad (*cough*Parents*cough*) that their loved ones are sitting in front of a computer instead of quality family time.
My mom would be mad that i was playing Guild Wars on Christmas.
In conclusion, decorations would be great as long as thay find away not to piss people off.
As for the non-religous types, just think as the christmas tree as a holiday tree, the stockings as drying laundry, Santa as a holiday fat guy that brings gifts, the flying reindeer as flying reindeer, and all the christmas carols you can just tune out with your satan music (jk)
